This past weekend my family and I headed to US Weekly’s Family Movie Night and we had a blast! It was being held at Avalon, The Plaza in Alpharetta, which was a beautiful space. 2015-09-20 12.43.47When we arrived, I went straight to the Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn stand, which was giving out free unlimited popcorn. Orville-1-2With popcorn in hand we found a spot to put our blanket that had a nice view of the screen. We had quite a bit of time before the movie started, so my husband went to grab a pizza from a nearby restaurant and I decided to check out the various activity stations. OrvilleWe passed by the giant coloring book but my boy didn’t want to color at that time so we moved on to the flipbook station. This was so cool, and it was my favorite part of the event. My son and I dressed up in various props and danced for the camera, or at least that’s was how it was supposed to go, but instead he kept trying to hide behind me. It was hilarious, and when I showed him the flipbook he had quite a laugh.Orville-1  It was time to watch the movie so we settled down on our blanket with food, popcorn and drinks. It was so relaxing and the weather was perfect! My son watched the entire movie and had several outbursts of laughter, so it’s safe to say he enjoyed it. Watching a movie under the stars was such a nice change of pace that we all needed. Have you gone to any outdoor movie events?
