So guess who has a new writing gig over at Frugivore Magazine? *Ding, ding ding* I do and I couldn’t be more excited! In addition to blogger extraordinaire (as I so fondly refer to myself) I am now a contributing writer. I think I like the sound of that. I will be posting recipes that will not be found on this blog but will link it. Frugivore Magazine is all about healthy eating and living, which is exactly why Guyanese and Caribbean recipes fit well. Most of our dishes were built around some sort of vegetable e.g. pumpkin and shrimp, beef and bora, baigan choka, etc. We’ve been eating this way, not because we are health conscious but because it’s the way our fathers ate and our fathers father and so on. It’s our way of life.So I will be contributing a few recipes per month, and my first post was published this week. I kicked it off with a recipe for a delicious !) roasted whole chicken with garlic bora, so head on over to Frugivore for the recipe by clicking here.
